Our Favourite Beaches in Limassol
If you’re dreaming of sunshine, crystal-clear water, and relaxing by the sea, Cyprus should be at the top of your list. Limassol is home to some of the island’s best beaches, where you can swim, soak up the sun, enjoy beach cafés, or try exciting water sports. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape or a fun day by the coast, Limassol has plenty of perfect beaches waiting for you.
* Make sure to pack your suncream!
* Buy a bat and ball: play at the water’s edge to keep cool
* Be aware of turtle conservation areas and watch where you step
* Take a cool box: keep your snacks and drinks cold in the heat
* Take a basin: fill it up and wash your sandy feet (and children!) much easier before you leave
Pissouri Bay ★★★★★
Location
This beach is the closest lifeguard-manned beach to the resort. The beach is a sand pebble mix but the waters are crystal clear and relatively calm. This lively bay has cafes, restaurants and watersports aplenty meaning its family friendly as there’s lots for children to do whilst the adults lay back and relax on the comfy sunbeds. If you are lucky enough you may see some turtles in late September. Great for: watersports!
Melanda Beach ★★★★★
Location
A delightful bay and beautiful sandy\pebble, child friendly beach with sparkling blue water. Situated in an idyllic, Tranquil location just 20 minutes from the Resort. Melanda beach restaurant serves beautiful fresh fish and other Cypriot cuisine. You could even arrange a boat ride there from Pissouri Bay! This beach is highly recommended due to its family fun activities and delicious food provided in the restaurant. Great for: amazing food by the sea!
Kourion Beach ★★★★★
Location
Kourion is a sandy blue flag beach (extremely environmentally friendly) with a gentle shoreline situated below the Roman Amphitheatre. This beach is great for swimming and relaxing, the waves here are very lively creating lots of fun for adults and children. Make sure to try the Chris Blue Beach restaurant for brunch or lunch It is more popular with locals than tourists, but the food and drinks here are lovely – one of our fav places. Great for: waves!
Lady’s Mile ★★★★★
Location
The perfect beach for children and families due to the crystal-clear shallow waters and the golden sand that stretches for miles. There are lots of inflatables and activities for children. Popular for windsurfing. There are some super trendy beach bars along this strip too; including Aplostra, Columbia Sun and more. Gentlemen welcome too ! Great for: inflatables in the sea – hours of fun!
Nissy Bay ★★★★★
Location
If standing on the beaches looking at the peaches is your thing, this is the place to go. Nissy is Ayia Napa’s classic party beach, but is also very picturesque. Gets very busy so get here early to secure the best spot. Lots of watersports and bungee jumping available. White sands, clear waters. Great for: beach parties!
